As the Rwenzori Theluji Festival draws close, Tourism investors in Kasese are working around the clock to ensure top class accommodation facilities are in place. Thanks to the efforts by Kasese Tourism Investors Forum (KTIF).

Gator’s Paradise Resort is one of the recently established facilities that have given Kasese’s accommodation space a facelift.

Located in Kisagazi cell, a few meters from the Kasese Aerodrome and the Kasese – Fort Portal highway. At Gator’s, one is welcomed by towering graceful sculptures of twin Giraffes that represent Uganda’s diverse wildlife.

The Guitar shaped swimming pool is a signature feature at the Resort in addition to the 12 ambient and well kept rooms of which 4 are Theme rooms.

The Jungle room
The Montana room
The Germany room
The Japanese room and the rest are vanilla rooms.

“We are a boutique Hotel,” says Gloria Kukunda  the manager of the Resort.

Kukunda says that the rooms are uniquely named and designed with different decorative features which illustrate a few cultures of the world including the Cowboys of Montana USA, The Japanese and Germany Culture.

“The chimpanzee room has a sculpture of a chimp eating a banana & stretching out it’s hand to share with you (the client), it’s a huge story here,”

“From the room, one is able to have a panoramic view stretching over the Kasese town centre to the Fataki Hill in addition to the Anglican and Catholic prayer mountains,” Kukunda added.

She revealed that Gator’s is run by a multilingual and professional team that ensures customer satisfaction at any hour of the day.

“Our staff can speak Lhukonzo, Kiswahili, French, Spanish and because Kasese attracts people from all over the world we believe we are on the right path as hosts.”

Additionally, Gator’s boasts of an open kitchen besides a fine poolside dinning area and a fully stocked bar.

“We allow our clients to choose their recipe, head to the kitchen and prepare it themselves”,

“Our kitchen is so clean and well kept that one can eat off the floor.” Kukunda bragged as she laughed it off.

Gator’s currently hosts an acoustic live band session every Sunday evening, Monday Pizza discounts at half price and Free swimming for women every Tuesday.

Kukunda was excited to announce that the facility will be introducing cultural nights every Friday 6:00pm – 7:00pm and entrance will be free of charge.

“We are in the final stages of planning for cultural nights where different cultures in Uganda will be exhibited through dance,” Kukunda said.

It’s beautiful that Kukunda will at all times emphasize their motto: “Where we treat you better than home”

The Rwenzori mail shall keep you posted as soon as the cultural nights are launched.
